Every episode is grounded firmly in Scripture and shaped by genuine conversation. Through biblical teaching, testimony, prayer, Scripture reading, and honest reflection, Ben and Simon tackle the issues many Christians think about but often struggle to talk about openly. Topics include identity, courage, mental health, anxiety, spiritual warfare, prayer, leadership, purpose, temptation, relationships, discipleship, culture, and what it truly means to stand firm as a Christian in modern Britain.
Alongside the core Christian Straight Talk discussions, the podcast now also includes Sunday Morning Services, Scripture readings, and Sunday Night Prayer gatherings, creating a complete weekly journey of biblical teaching, worship, encouragement, and prayer.
The Sunday Morning Service episodes feature powerful Bible teaching, Sunday service messages, Scripture reading, worship reflection, and practical preaching designed to strengthen faith and help listeners build their lives firmly on the Word of God. These services bring church, teaching, and encouragement directly into people’s homes, cars, workplaces, and daily lives.
The Sunday Night Prayer episodes create a calm and powerful space for prayer, reflection, healing, peace, and spiritual renewal before the week ahead. Through Scripture, prayer, and encouragement, these episodes speak into anxiety, fear, mental health struggles, financial pressure, exhaustion, relationships, and the real-life challenges people carry every day.

“Call to me and I will answer you.” That single line from Jeremiah 33:3 cuts through the noise when life feels tight, watched, and boxed in. We lean into the image of Jeremiah confined in a courtyard and ask what it means for anyone carrying anxiety, fear, doubt, or the sense of being spiritually restricted. We also pull in Isaiah 45:3 and its promise of hidden treasures, not as religious décor or institutional wealth, but as revelation found in the secret place with God and in the Word.
We speak plainly about church culture in the UK, spiritual abuse, and the temptation to outsource your faith to platforms, personalities, and “second-hand” Christianity. From doubting Thomas to Hebrews 11:1, we challenge the idea that education or performance can produce revelation, and we reject the pressure of instant-fix spirituality. Instead, we talk endurance, obedience, and the kind of prayer you can pray in a van, on a commute, by the washing machine, or in the quiet when nobody is watching.
We also look at Acts and the upper room as a model of stripped-back, obedient prayer, then widen the lens to the persecuted church where people are encountering Jesus without programmes or prestige. The episode closes with communion, practical encouragement, and a simple invitation to get hold of a Bible and keep calling on Jesus. Subscribe, share with a friend who feels stuck, and leave a review. What part of Jeremiah 33:3 do you need most right now?
We centre on Jeremiah 33:3 as a promise that God answers when we call, even when life feels like confinement and pressure. We challenge church spectacle, spiritual control, and second-hand faith, and we push towards Scripture, obedience, and personal revelation in the secret place.
• Isaiah 45:3 and the search for hidden treasures in God
• Jeremiah’s confinement as a picture of modern restriction and fear
• warning signs of spiritual abuse and manipulation from platforms
• choosing the Kingdom of God over church culture and control
• doubting Thomas and refusing to live on second-hand belief
• endurance and “not a microwave God” expectations
• education, money, and religion as ceilings that can limit hope
• the Acts upper room as a stripped-back model of prayer
• persecuted church stories as evidence of God moving powerfully
• communion, prayer, and practical encouragement to keep going

Opening Prayer And Scripture Focus
SPEAKER_02Amen. God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. Let's turn to the word of God. Let's turn to the book of Jeremiah. When we were in prayer this morning, when we were in our 10 o'clock prayer meeting, we were in the prayer room. And uh as we pray for Israel and we just seek the Father's heart well before the church. You know, as we was in prayer this morning, I was just this my word, the Bible just opened up to this. So I've got to go to where I was led to. So we're in Jeremiah 33. Let's turn to Jeremiah 33. Jeremiah chapter 33, verses 1. And let's just check. You know, I'm just reading this fresh from myself as well. So we're going to end up around about verse 4, somewhere around about there. So we're in Jeremiah 33, verses 1, just on the way through.
Hidden Treasures In The Secret Place
SPEAKER_02And I just want to remind us what it says in Isaiah 45, verse 3, as well. It talks about hidden treasures, the riches that are stored up in the secret place. You won't find them in religion, because if you were to go to any cathedral, they got their riches hanging on the wall. Religion has got its riches hanging on the wall. They've got their reward in full. They've got their reward on full on this earth. When you look at cathedrals, when you look at religion, when you look at the Vatican City, when you look at the Church of England and certain movements, they are so rich it goes beyond human understanding. So they've got their riches. They've received it on this earth. But God tells us to go into the Word of God through the book of Isaiah, beautiful scripture in Isaiah 45, I believe, in verse 3. When you look at that scripture, it clearly tells us about Isaiah 45, verse 3. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret place, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the God of Israel who summons you. God is summoning each and every one of us. He's calling each and every one of us wherever you are across this world. God is calling you. God is calling you to the power of the word, to hidden treasures. Treasures in those dark places, the the hidden area of life. God is calling you to scripture. God is calling you not to church. He's not calling you to elim. He's not calling you to any church. He's calling you to scripture before any church was put into movement, before any religious organization came in. It was just Jesus, the cross, and the disciples and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the book of Acts. There was no buildings. So when you look at what these scriptures, Jesus don't call us to church. And there are secret places, there are hidden treasures, but we will only find them when we seek the Father's heart. And then we say, Well, how do I find the Father's heart? I read the word. I read the word in the battle of life, in the fear of life, in the doubt of life, in the uncertainty. The scripture says there is hidden treasure.
Jeremiah In Confinement And God Speaks
SPEAKER_02Now we come to this very interesting text, Jeremiah 33, verse 1. Let me just read it for a few verses down. It says, While Jeremiah was still confined in the courtyard of God, the word of the Lord came to him a second time. This is what the Lord says. He who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it, the Lord is his name. Verse 3 Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. See, that's the power of revelational knowledge. You're not going to find it at Canterbury, you're not going to find it in the Vatican City, you're not going to find it where there's grandeur and religious spectacle. You're going to find it in the secret place, driving your transit van, doing the shopping around Audi. You're going to find it in those places because when you call on God, the Savior and the Creator of heaven and earth. And he's reminding Jeremiah. Now, look at Jeremiah's life at this particular point. Everything had gone wrong. He was he was arrested. He was in the courtyard. He was in an area, a secure area. It wasn't behind bars. He was in a place of public holding. He couldn't move about. He couldn't do anything. He was under guard. He was under what you could say house arrest. He was in a place where he couldn't freely get out. He was in an area where he was warding. You're under guard, Jeremiah. You're not going nowhere. The king put him under guard. Let me tell you, God will get to you. Whoever tries to put you in prison. Whoever tries to isolate you, God will get to you. Family will isolate you. Work will isolate you. Culture will isolate
Church Control And Spiritual Abuse Warnings
SPEAKER_02you. Church will isolate you. Church will try to control you. We have never seen so much spiritual abuse through cultural church, this church, that church, white church, black church, every church under the sun. Let's cut to the chase this morning. Church is not fit for purpose. But the kingdom of God is the place where God reveals his word. When you look at that scripture, Jeremiah was under lock and key. He didn't have access to anything. But God's word got to him. God's word will find you when you're in your deepest hour. God's word, let me rephrase that. God's word won't find you. God's word is in you. God's word is within you. So when I'm in a courtyard, when I'm restricted in my physical movement, when I'm surrounded by people, and then as according to the word, those the Bible says, don't cast your pearls to pigs. Careful who you keep company with. Careful who you walk with. Careful who you live around. Whatever's going. Careful who you pray with. Careful who prays for you. Be careful. The Bible says don't cast your pearls to pigs. Be careful of the dogs, the mutilators of the flesh. So number 10 Downing Street, they're mutilators of the flesh. They're trying to destroy. They're trying to. Every other faith under the sun is acceptable. But if you are a Christian, I'm not talking about a churchgoer because number 10 owns the Church of England. It's all wrapped up. It's all wrapped up together. Everything's wrapped up together. But the but the number 10 cannot own and it cannot control a Christian that believes in Jesus Christ. You can be a churchgoer, you can be whatever you want to call yourself. But now is the time to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Because we are living in very, very powerful days. The church is not fit for purpose. But the kingdom of God is the place where hidden treasures are. If you feel like you're under house arrest, if you feel like you're in a courtyard and you're trapped into a situation, it is the power of the word of God. You've only got to turn to the beautiful Psalm, Psalm 119, 105. Your word is a lamp unto my feet, a light for my path. Even though I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me. It is the word of God. It's no pastor, it's no leader, it's no denomination, it's not the Evangelical Alliance, it's not Catholicism, it's not the Church of England. No church is going to get us out of the crisis that we're in. Simply because we are in the biggest spiritual famine we've seen in the UK. You can trace that back to Parliament. When Parliament decided to cut us away from Israel, 19, what was it, 1949, 1947, somewhere around about there, they decided to do what they've done. They cut that tie with Israel, and ever since then we have dropped down the tubes. See, when when you don't pray for Israel, the biblical Israel, I'm not we don't do politics, we're not talking about politics, we are talking about the biblical Israel. When you don't pray and you don't stand with Israel, there is trouble in the house. When you do not lift up and pray for the peace of Jerusalem and say, Father, keep us grafted into the vine. Keep us grafted in. See, the church in the UK is not very good at talking and speaking publicly about Israel. It's frightened because as soon as you start saying, I stand with the biblical Israel, you suddenly get a highlighter pen around you, and the government looks at you and they look at you a very different way. Even church and religion. We got to know who we are right now because the church isn't fit for purpose. There's spiritual abuse, there's manipulation and control that we've never seen before. It's tied in to the charity arm, it's tied into government, it's tied into the monarchy. But we belong to the kingdom. So Jeremiah was in a situation and the word of the Lord was revealed to him through the power of revelational knowledge.
Doubting Thomas And Firsthand Faith
SPEAKER_02Then we've only got to turn into the New Testament where we read about doubting Thomas when he went through that cycle of that week when his church family, his friends, and said, We've seen the Lord. The Lord has spoken to us, he's told us this, he's told us that. And doubting, and Thomas come up with a clear word. I don't want to know anymore. I don't want to know anymore. I need to see the Lord for myself. See, that is boldness. God, I need you in my life right now. God, you've got to reveal yourself right now. And they said to Thomas, We've seen the Lord. He came through, he spoke to us. We've seen the resurrection, we've seen the power, we've seen the glory. And he said, Unless I see the now marks and touch that with my own understanding, I will not believe. Powerful statement. Powerful statement to make publicly. I'm not going to believe anymore. I don't want to hear secondhand knowledge. I want to see my God. Is there anybody online, anybody in the house that wants to see the God of Israel? See the power of God? Are you tired of church? Do you feel like you're in a lockdown scenario again where you're locked in this court where you can't move? You're restricted. You've got the pressure of everything breaking out around you. You've got the issues of life, and you just can't seem to weigh a forward, way forward. You're in a public area, but you feel like you're on guard. Someone is looking at you all the time. Jeremiah was in this place and it says, Call to me, verse 3. I believe God is calling every one of us through the power of Scripture. Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you, great and unsearchable. You are not going to find it through your academic understanding. This is why politics don't go together with the kingdom. This is why we will never see a breakthrough. Whoever gets in number 10 Downing Street, we will not see a breakthrough because we are living in a spiritual crisis, a crisis where the land has turned away from God and turned to other gods. We got golden calves everywhere in the sporting arena. We got golden calves on social media. We got golden calves behind pulpits. We got golden calves in church. We got golden calves in the corporate world. And we're worshiping foreign gods. And now the reflection that you see outside your window in the UK, where the authorities have said there's a there's a ban on water, it's not flowing no more. That's what church has done and religion has done. It has stifled the Holy Spirit, it has stifled, it has stopped. And God has not left us, but the church has left the word. Because when you leave the word, when you leave the word, you leave the father's house, what happened to the prodigal son? He had everything for a while, but then it ran dry. And there are too many people living their lives with swine, corporately, family-wise, life-wise. Be careful who you eat with, be careful of the field of life. It says that the prodigal son said, I want my blessings, I want everything the father can give me. He took everything, he went off, and he lived a life of craziness. And he done whatever he wanted to do. But then he found himself in a pig style. Eating with pigs. People will draw everything out of you and exhaust you. The Bible says, Don't throw your pearls to pigs. Don't give your gifting to certain people. Don't tell people what God has dropped in your spirit. Be careful who you speak with. But when you look at this scripture, it says, Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. I love that. That just breaks religion down to the floor. Because religion and certain areas of ministries, pastoral stuff, look at so much stuff that's come across the airways. Jesse Duplantis, what did he say? That famous line. God has asked me my advice. You're off your rocker, Jesse. You are seriously deluded. God is not gonna ask your advice, he's not gonna ask you, and we won't go no further down that road. God is a jealous God. And he won't share his what? Glory with no one. God will not share his glory with no preacher, no evangelist, no ministry. God will use you, God will work with you and show you and bring revelational knowledge. But when you look at religion, this scripture is a scripture that destroys everything that religion talks about. Because religion and certain areas of ministry in church think they hold the keys to the kingdom. And they manipulate people from the pulpit, from the office of the church, from areas of church, and they bring spiritual manipulation. And the pastor will drop the line: God has told me that you're gonna do A, B, C, and D. Then that is spiritual abuse. Because God will tell you first, God will reveal to you. God will reveal what he wants you to do. This is the issue that we have now. We have lost our identity. We've lost who we are. Because there is so much in the world of celebrity church, noisy church, this church, that church, every church, the TikTok church, the social media church, the religious church. We're looking. We have lost our way in the UK. But God is saying, Come to me. Come to me. I'm calling you by name. I'm calling you by name. Come to me. All of you that are weary and heavy laden and burdened, I will give you rest. The scripture is speaking loud and clear. Jeremiah 33, verse 3. Call to me and I will answer you.
Endurance Not Instant Answers
SPEAKER_02And let's remind ourselves he's not a microwave God. What do you mean? Press a button and expect in five seconds, I've got what I've wanted. The Bible talks about endurance. I've got to endure. But the celebrity church, the large organizations will tell you, God will give you it now. God will strip you back first. God will strip you back to the bone. And it looks like, and it could look like I've done something wrong, but God's got to strip back before a build back can come. If an engine in a car isn't making the car move, the heart needs to be stripped back, looked at, dealt with, stripped right back to the bone, and then gently put it back together. Because the church isn't fit for purpose. We've been saying this for a long time now. When you look at the major church denominations at this moment, where are they in the noise of trouble? It's quiet. We're listening to political language, political journalism across the social medias. We're following the political leaders rather than following the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We're looking to the Union Jack rather than looking to the cross. We're looking at number 10 rather than looking at the word of God. It is the word of God that will bring you healing. It is the word of God that will free you. It is the word of God that will bring you prosperity. It is the word of God that will make a way. God will open the doorway in a concrete wall. It will step into our business if we call upon Him. But we've got to call upon Him outside of church, outside of religion, outside of the framework, outside of the spreadsheet of life. We've got to call on the name of Jesus in the secret place. In the secret place, in your van, in your car, on your commute run, when you're cutting the grass, when you're at the washing machine. When you're doing whatever you are doing, you call on the name of Jesus Christ and say, Father, in the name of Jesus, I need you right now. Because Lord, I need to see these areas that Jeremiah was given. I want to be like Jeremiah, where he was taken into a place and God revealed what was behind the curtain. Beyond the human eye, beyond the knowledge. When you look at this, this goes outside of theology.
Education Religion And Other Limiters
SPEAKER_02Because theology is a limiter to a degree. Education is a limiter to a degree. It's like having this ceiling. We go to school, we get educated, we live our lives. A crisis that we got in the moment, the students that have been at college for the last five, seven years are educated, but there's no jobs. Educated, but no jobs. There's nowhere to go. And that's what education does. It limits us because we rely on our education and we rely on what I got at college. I'm relying on a bit of paper. I'm relying on what I was taught. I was taught whatever I was taught. I'm relying on that skill set to get me through work, to get me through life. And then suddenly I realize what I was taught, what I learned through educational uh areas, it's not working. And then depression sets in, fear sets in, and then we're worried, we're scared that I'm not doing what I should be doing, and what I know isn't getting me what I thought it would get me. So education has a limit, like the ceiling. Wherever you are right now, and look up, there is a ceiling. That ceiling limits us. It puts a block on what wherever you are in your house, in your van, in your car, whatever you are doing, unless you're out in the open air and you're looking up to the heavens above, because that's what the Bible says. He doesn't say, gee, God doesn't say in the book of Psalms, look to the ceiling. Where does my help come from? He says, look to the hills. When you look to the hills, you're looking above the hill, you're looking into eternity, you're looking beyond the human eye. But we put limiters on ourselves. Education is a limiter. Money, whether we got it or whether we ain't got it, whatever way you look at it, it can limit. And then religion, religion is probably the biggest limiter that we have at this moment. And church. It can limit you. Because we're not fulfilled by just going to church. This cannot, this morning, these few hours together, there's so much more outside of this building. There's so much more on the other side of the lens. There is so much more for you, and it is in the kingdom of God. And it will only be revealed. Only be revealed when we search the Father's heart. So when you look at this scripture, call to me and I will answer you and tell you great. If God is using the word great, how great would that be? Great and unsearchable things that you do not know. So God is telling religion, God is telling the academic world, you don't know me at clue. Because you think, because you've studied scripture, that is it. Well, let me tell you something. There's more on the other side of the text on the page. There is a spiritual world that opens up the text that you cannot see. So if we rely on what we see and what we read and rely on that and look at that, there is more than what we see on the text because it's called revelational knowledge. And when you read a scripture and you read it and you take it in suddenly out of nowhere, have you ever read a text when it's suddenly like it becomes alive on the page? The text starts dancing. You feel something has happened, you've had a moment and then you go back, but it's still black and white. It's not done the same thing again. Because God reveals Himself through the Word. And there are hidden treasures that Canterbury and Catholicism, the Church of England, the Pentecostal Elim do not have a clue about. Doesn't matter how great these pastors go on and blow smoke up their own chimney, it doesn't matter how much they blow themselves up, they do not understand that God has got a limit on what he will allow. But he's saying to the broken right now, he's saying to the lost right now, because that's what religion does. It makes us feel intimidated by its power and authority. But it actually has no power of God because religion and movements use the power of the movement like government does to frighten those that are sitting in the congregation, those that are on the other side of the telephone. I'm ringing British gas. Oh my goodness, they're gonna wipe the floor with me. I'm ringing this, I'm ringing that, the authorities. See, they are what they are narcissistic controllers. From the utilities to the monarchy to the government to the church and religion. But God says, I will reveal more to you. There is more for you, there is more that you do not realize. So what the church has been given us, there's so much more. There's so much more. God has so much more. And the Bible tells us in the book of Isaiah 45, there are hidden treasures, hidden treasures that will be revealed, and he will reveal you to reveal them to you at your darkest hour. Not in the tent meeting where there's a so-called revival. Oh, he's fallen over. Quick, I'm gonna fall over. I don't want to be the last one standing. Listen, when you think about, I don't mean listen in that way. What I mean by is just God open, I'm not being controlling when I say listen, you know what I mean. When you look at the majority of ministries, and when they use prayer, and when they when uh there's certain certain areas of that, and when they lay hands on you, they'll shove you and push you. Do you think that's God? Does God need the hand of man? Does God need the hand of man to give you a gentle oof? God will put you on the floor without you being in any arena. God will move. So we have to be careful what we've seen and what we what we've watched and what we experience. God doesn't need the help of any transatlantic, he doesn't need the help of any evangelists, he doesn't need the help of any so-called social media, name it and claim it. Look at that and think, hang on a minute, God's not in that. Where is God? God's in your heart, God's in your life, God is everywhere. Let's just, before we come to the table, let's just take our time over this scripture. Just take your time over this beautiful scripture nestled in Jeremiah 33, verse 3. Call to me. Am I gonna call to God? How do I call this God? How do I get? How do I how do I call this God? I just say Jesus. Are you here? I'm here, son. I was here before the fabric of the world. God, I'm tired of deep theological Bible studies. I'm tired of the church and the educator using great big enormous words because I just need help. And these great big theological words are not making me feel any better. Jesus, through God, through this scripture says, call to me. He didn't say go to church, get your pastor. He didn't say put it on on a on a group chat, he didn't say google me. He said call. How do I call? How do I call this invisible God? How do I call this God? I just look up and say, Jesus, help me. See, when you when you call from your heart, when you call, there's a different call from heart through public call. See, church does a public and a spectacle call. And the showmanship, you know, the West End operates every Sunday morning from probably eight o'clock in the morning till one o'clock in church. We got many actors and actresses playing out what we call church. What we need are spirit-filled preachers and teachers that will call on the name of God, that will come to the cross and say, Father, we got nowhere else to go. This celebrity church isn't doing it. Lord, this world of cultural church, Father, this this social church, it Lord, it isn't healing me. It isn't setting me free. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. You can be in your transit van and you can find the Spirit of the Lord. You can be cutting the grass, you can be on a scaffold, you can be in construction, you could be in retail, you could be in healthcare, you could be sitting on the curb, you could be sitting on your patio, you could be sitting on the edge of the bed, just at the end of the road almost. And God is there. God is there, God is with you. And he is saying to Jeremiah, you are in a lockdown, son, you are locked up tight, you are in these courtyards, there's no way out, but I'm still talking to you. Because God is not restricted by any prison door, by any sickness, by any disease. He's not worried about religion. I wonder what the percentage is where God's present presence is not even in churches this morning. God has left the building. And it's all manipulation and control. Dark witchcraft and spiritual abuse coming across the bulbit, shouting and screaming, chanting, going crazy. You won't find anything like that in scripture. The God that I serve, the God of Israel, is a God of order, a God of power and authority. He doesn't need anyone to scream at him, to shout and to sweat, and to jump up and down and and scream and and punch the air and get on the floor shouting and screaming. It's not biblical. He just says, Come to me, call upon me.
The Upper Room Pattern Of Prayer
SPEAKER_02When you look how prayer should be in the upper room, in that place, on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the greatest prayer meeting the world has ever seen. 120. Men and women together. No segregation. No men at the front, women at the back looking after the kids. No segregation. The men and the women were together. The Bible says the women were already in prayer. The women were already seeking the father's heart. And the men joined them. And Jesus, we know the text. Wait for the gift. I've got something for you. Just wait. The greatest prayer meeting the world has ever seen is in the book of Acts. The heavens were blue. The sky was as blue as you could ever imagine. It was hot, it was warm. And out of nowhere, the spirit of the Lord fell. No pastor was present. No teleevangelist was present. Thank God there was no gift aid form. No spreadsheet planning out the next five of evangelism on the year's planner. No GDPR. Thank God I broke that more times than you can count. No HR office. Oh Lord, hallelujah. It was just raw belief. Raw belief. Because when Jesus says something, I'm gonna do what he says. And he says, wait here. The greatest prayer meeting the world has ever seen was in the book of Acts. And through them being obedient, God knew that they would be obedient. And what did he do? Through them, he birthed Pentecost. Through their obedience became such a power. Through them just praying in the stillness, in the heat, he said, wait. Just wait. I love the fact that none of them have gone to Bible college. None of them were baptized. None of them had a doctorate. No pastor in the building. No church. Sign above the door. No denomination. No one leading the service. No guitar. No screens. No Wi-Fi. Nothing. But raw faith. Raw faith. Stripped back to the bone. Right back to what the word says. Wait for me. I'm gonna give you a gift. I'm gonna send. But I want you to wait. And they just went into prayer. It wasn't beamed around like we are, it wasn't shared around the world. They was in fear because of the signs of the times. They was in a lockdown sort of situation. They was fearful of what was happening around that time. But the scripture is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And as God told Jeremiah, call me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. Let's tell religion right now, you don't know the God that we know. The academic preacher is a dangerous preacher because they're relying on academics, they're relying on the study, they're relying on the tying in, they're relying on the education to try and bring revelation. Education won't bring revelation. Obedience brings revelation. Because if it was education, I wouldn't be in the door. I am not an educated person. I'm dyslexic. Dyscalculia. My head is wired different to yours. I'm wired different. So if it comes down to education, I won't get in the door. And when I talk about get in the door, I'm talking about the door of salvation. Because education and religion and the system tries to tell you what it is. But they don't know what it is because what it is is unseen. And you can only see it when you get into that place of faith. The Bible says in Hebrews 11 1, now faith. Read it for yourself. Now faith is the evidence. Faith is the evidence of the things unseen. Whoa. See the word of God, Scripture, takes you outside of your comfort zone. Scripture will take you outside of your pie chart, your flow chart. Scripture will take you outside of your bank account, whether you got it or whether you ain't got it. Scripture will take you outside of your culture. Scripture will take you outside of your business acumen. Scripture will take you outside of everything that you have that we think that we have, that we think that we got that is going to get us to where we think God wants us to go. It is faith that will get us to a place there. That's where God will reveal these unsearchable, you can't find them with education. Religion, you ain't got a clue. Number 10, you cannot control our God, the God of Israel. The leader of Israel cannot control the God of Israel. No one can control the Holy Spirit. No one can control the power of the Word of God. It's tried for decades and years and generations. But then we see the evidence of what church has done to us. So the years of religion and the years of church, we are seeing now a nation that is broke. The church generations ago should have taken hold of the word of God and stood up right the way through against parliament, against the narcissistic politicians. The church should have risen up out of the ashes. I'm going to soar on wings like eagles. I'm going to soar. I'm going to run and not be frank. I'm going to walk and not be weary. I'm not going to be consumed by the river. The river is not going to drown me. Life is not going to take me out. But the church has complied, religion has complied to everything number 10 has told it to do. And we've all got the stamp over the door. The worst stamp we could ever have. And what's that? The charity number. A charitable status. Very dangerous place to be. Very dangerous place to be. When you come under charity law, UK law, it restricts you. The street preachers are being taken away. Get yourself a prayer cloth. Pray to Allah, you'll be alright. But if you serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, if you are a Bible-believing believer, you will find the gathers, the police, sorry, you will find the police. You will find the British police officers. They will have you in handcuffs before you say, Father, Son, Holy Spirit. You will find yourself behind bars because you believe in Jesus Christ. But if you tell the world, get yourself a prayer mat, come down, number parliament, and let's let's open the prayer mat up. Let's get on the rug and let's pray to Allah. You'll be alright, you'll be surrounded and be protected. But if you tell the world about the love of the God of Israel, the God above all gods, the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, if you tell the world about Jesus Christ, He was alive, He died, He gave His life, and on the third day He rose again. And then on the Isle of Patmos, when he revealed Himself to the great biblical writer known as John, the book of Revelation, he says, I fell to the floor, and I turned around and I see the one like his hair, his eyes, the brilliance, his glory. And I fell to the floor, and he said, I hold the keys to death and to Hades. I was dead, but behold, I am alive. He's the only king that is alive. Every other king is dead, every other God is dead, Allah is dead, Buddha is dead, everybody is dead. But my God, the God of Israel, is alive and well, and he is the savior of the world. But if you tell the world you're a Jesus follower, get ready for trouble. This is why God says to Jeremiah, you are in lockdown, son, but I ain't worried about lockdown. I'm gonna get my word to you. I'm gonna get my word to you at your prison bed. I'm gonna get my word to you when you're in a different religion. You've only got to look at the persecuted church.
Persecuted Church And Bold Witness
SPEAKER_02More people are coming into faith outside of the church. It's unbelievable stories. The persecuted church around the world. 370 plus million displaced Christians. People that are going to bed at night serving Buddha. People going to bed serving Hare Krishna, serving Allah, are waking up in their same bed saying I've had a revelational knowledge of Jesus Christ. Never been to church in their life, never been baptized, never done any course, never done any foundational work through the word of God. Never done the Alpha Course. Never went the Holy Trinity Brompton. How very dare you! Never had a Bible study, never prayed to the God of Israel, but wake up taking off all the clothes that they were buried in. And suddenly God said, Now you're alive. Waking up, having to go down to the house and tell their family, I'm sorry, but I believe in Jesus Christ. And then when their family realizes, and suddenly you read stories where their whole house suddenly had the same dream. Leave that religion that they were in, suddenly having to flee the village because you can't serve Jesus here. If you want to know where the power of God is working, look outside of the church. Look into the persecuted church, open doors, release international, Barnabas Aid, uh Amnesty. Look at all that stuff. The power of God is moving.
Communion And Prayer For Revelation
SPEAKER_02Let's come to the table. Father, in the name of Jesus. We might be in a prison. And it doesn't mean to say that we're at in a cell.
Modern House Arrest And Getting Outside
SPEAKER_02Because, Lord, the government is trying to keep us in a prison of our house. Very interestingly, have you noticed what's happened over the last few years? You can get all your shopping delivered to your front door. You can work from home now. You don't need to leave your house. We are under house arrest. Very interesting. The corporate world through control of government departments, we don't have to leave our home. We are in a lockdown. We are in the biggest lockdown we've ever seen. Children are losing the art of communication. Adults are losing the art of communication. And then we get a label stamped over it, social anxiety, which is fair and true. I get that, I understand that. But what happens is when we don't get out of the house, we suddenly become a prisoner in the walls that we're in. And we're frightened to get out. But God says, go into all the world, preach and teach. So if you are at home right now and you're working from home and you haven't been outside your territory for a while, I would invite you to go out to a field and sit in the middle of that field and drink in the power of nature. The government are trying to keep you working at home. Shopping at home, everything at home. We were crafted and created for so much more. And God's word came to Jeremiah when he was in a lockdown, but not really a lockdown. Because when you understand what it means, the Greek and the Hebrew, he was under guard, but there was a certain amount of freedom where they could come in and see him. Does that make sense? They could come in and see him, but he couldn't go out. Very interesting. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus. I pray that Jeremiah 33, verse 3 will be for each and every one of us. Call to me and I will answer you. And tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know. I want that, Lord. I am hungry for that. I am hungry and thirsty for that, what is behind the natural eye. Beyond religion, beyond helium, beyond number ten, beyond the monarchy, beyond social media. We are literally robbing ourselves of what is beyond. Do not allow any human being to control and manipulate you.
Resisting Corporate And Political Captivity
SPEAKER_02You live your life in the full glory and in the full power of God. You seek the Father's heart. Don't let any corporate environment be careful of the corporate world. Be careful of the ivory towers where we work. What is their culture? What are they saying to you? What are they pushing through emails? What are their slogans? What are their straplines? The majority of them say basically, God's not here. This is our way. This is the corporate world. And when you look at the corporate world, I'm sorry for those high fliers in the corporate world. That corporate world ain't gonna help you when your back's against the wall. Because those ones in the corporate world, they will nick your job off of you before you could sneeze. Watch the corporate world. And the corporate world is a reflection of religion. Watch religion. And then you have another reflection of those two. The political world. So how can we listen to a load of old men rabbiting on and a load of jargon? How can we how can how can we listen to this? We can't listen to the corporate world. It might get you a nice house, it might get you a car, but it'll take you to hell if you're not saved. Religion will take you to hell. Government, we're probably living in it. When you look at what we look at, see, we got to see beyond the fabric of what we see. The corporate world is not gonna be at your funeral. The corporate world doesn't even know you, you're just a number. You're just going in an ivory tower, you're just pressing buttons, and it's all smiles and white teeth, it's all fakeness. Religion is the same because they are limiters, they will limit, education will limit, politics will limit, but in the world, and I should say in the kingdom, there are no limits. There are no limits, it is the opposite of the corporate, of the status quo, it is the opposite of religion. See, faith is opposite and it stands on its own, it stands outside of the spreadsheet, the remit, it stands outside of everything. And you need to be prepared to stand alone to say, I'm trusting God for this. Because the corporate world won't heal you of cancer, religion won't get you healed. Number ten won't feed your kids, society won't help you, culture will take you down the cultural path, but Jesus will feed you. Firstly, he says, man doesn't live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Elijah Bread Water And Going Back
SPEAKER_02So when you look at Elijah, we're coming to the table right now. When you look at Elijah, he went on a journey for 40 days. He went in the wrong direction, but that that's that's a different area. But God strengthened him through ministering angel, and he gave him a jar of water and some bread cakes. How could that sustain him for faulty days and for faulty nights? Because it isn't food as we understand that food. When you look at what he fed him, what did he feed him? Bread. I am the bread of life. What did he give him in a jar? Water. What is water? I am the living water. He was given, God was giving the prophet Jesus in a physical form. I'm gonna give you some water in a jar. I'm gonna give you some bread. I am the bread of life, I am the first and I am the last. The Bible says man doesn't live by bread alone, but by every word that perceives out of the mouth of God. So when you look at that great biblical text, Elijah, bread and water, Jesus will sustain you. Jesus Christ will get you to the place that we need to get to. But just like Elijah, we put the wrong satnav address in. And when he'd done the running for 40 days and 40 nights, God went, What are you doing here? What are you doing here? And what did God do? Did he just pick him up and take him to where he should have gone? The Bible said, You're going back the way you came. Sometimes it feels like we're going backwards. Now, this is interesting because he was anointed. You can run in your anointing, but what we got to make sure is, am I going in the right direction? He was anointed, and God said, You got to go back. So I wonder over the course of our life, if we think the devil is stripping us back and I've lost everything, is it because God is saying, I'm taking you back? I'm taking you back to where we started. Because you can run in your anointing, you can move in your anointing, you can get to a destination in your anointing, but is that where God wants me to be? And God said, Elijah, let's go backwards. Father, in the name of Jesus, I feel in my spirit, Lord, that we're in a critical place. Us, humanity. I feel, Lord, across the world and in the UK right now, that we are without a leader. His actions of going on holiday is his actions generally. Number 10 is vacant. Holy Spirit, I thank you that we're not relying on number 10, that we're relying on Jesus Christ, the author and the perfecter of our faith. And as we come to the breaking of bread, as we come to the cup of redemption, Father, we thank you for this bread. We thank you for this cup. And Lord bless us. Is there anybody in the house with me right now? Anybody online? I know we can't hear you on the other side of the world and wherever you are today, but pray for the bread, please. Pray for the bread and the wine at home, wherever you are across the world. And if anybody feels led in the house in front of me to pray for the bread, please do so. And if anyone wants to follow after that praying for the cup, please do so. We do not need to go to Canterbury to ask the bishop's permission. God says, as often as you gather together, do it in my name.
SPEAKER_00Every word that's our life. And have that word living in us. That's what you're saying. Just thank you for this piece of word that represents the body that you gave to your son Jesus to be a man on this earth. To take our punishment, to take our wickedness away and transform us into his unlikess. What can all put everything of our salvation? Jesus did it. We have no contribution to it whatsoever. That's all our heart is. Jesus did it all. We thank you for it. Jesus. Amen. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, brother, for praying the bread and the wine. Father, we just emphasize what's been said but through the word. Blessed we pray. In the name of Jesus.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_01Anyone in the house wants to pray for a cup that represents the blood of Jesus that we shed at Calvary, please do so.
SPEAKER_00Wakes out the new creation. Watch out our heart. Non-existent now. The old is gone and the new is gone. This is the right.
SPEAKER_02For those online right now, Father, we thank you for this cup that symbolizes the blood of Jesus. As we take this redemption cup, as our brother has just prayed, Lord, I ask you right now that you'll cleanse us from the crown of our head to the sole of our feet. In Jesus' name.
unknownAmen.
