On this Resurrection Sunday prayer night, we slow everything down and sit with one powerful line of Scripture: Psalm 46:10 — “Be still, and know that I am God.” In the middle of Passover reflection, Easter hope, and the noise of modern life, this is a call back to the presence of God, the peace of Christ, and the stillness that only Jesus can bring.

The world does not go quiet just because it is Resurrection Sunday. Bills still arrive, grief still hurts, headlines still shake people, and many hearts still carry fear, exhaustion, and deep private battles. This prayer night creates space to breathe again, to come back to the cross, and to remember that the grave is empty, Christ is risen, and God is still speaking peace over troubled lives.

We pray for those carrying anxiety, panic, sleeplessness, emotional weariness, financial strain, relationship pain, trauma, bereavement, and fear about the future. We bring real life before God and remember that prayer does not need religious performance. It can begin quietly in a bedroom, in a car, on a sofa, at the kitchen table, or anywhere someone feels alone and needs the presence of Jesus.

The message also reflects on the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment — a picture of desperate faith, quiet courage, and healing power. Her story reminds us that Jesus meets people personally, not just publicly, and that hope is not reserved for the loud, the strong, or the polished. It is for the weary, the overlooked, the fearful, and the broken-hearted.

This episode also returns to the simplicity of communion and Scripture at home, reminding listeners that stillness, prayer, and the Word of God remain powerful in everyday life. From Psalm 46:10 to Isaiah 41:10, Matthew 11:28, and the hope of the resurrection, this is a prayer night for anyone needing calm, healing, rest, and a fresh touch from God.

In this episode, we pray through:

  • Psalm 46:10 as a practice of stillness
  • peace when life feels loud and overwhelming
  • handing worry, stress, and fear over to Jesus
  • money pressure, work strain, war, and uncertainty
  • panic, sleepless nights, and racing thoughts
  • healing for grief, trauma, relationships, and the heart
  • the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment
  • how crowds, pressure, and noise can distort

Welcome To Resurrection Sunday Prayer

SPEAKER_00

Good evening, good evening. God bless you wherever you are this evening. Thank you so much for joining us for this prayer night on this Sunday evening resurrection Sunday, wherever you are. The Spirit of the Lord is with each and every one of us. But let's just jump straight into prayer. We're going to go to the book of Psalms 46:10. Be still and know that I'm God. Wherever you are capturing the sound of my voice, wherever you are listening, and uh if you're on X right now, you can see the candles just gently burning there. Or if you're on RB Christian Radio, God bless you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The love of God and the Spirit of the Lord is over each and every one of our lives. There is power in the greatest name in Jesus Christ. Come on, let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus. We thank you as we gather around the Word of God. Lord, as we gather for prayer across every tribe, every tongue, every colour, every nation. Lord, we come to you right now. And Lord, we pray for breakthrough. Father, we pray for breakthrough, Lord, as we just sit in our houses, we sit at home, in church, wherever we are right now. Lord, we come to the cross of Calvary, and as we look at that screen, as we see that cross there, Lord, we just pray. For your mercy, your saving grace, we just pray, dear God, that you'll touch our hearts, our minds, and our bodies and our souls, that the love of God will just bless everybody that is on camera right now. Everybody that's on RB Christian Radio, we thank God for your lives. Wherever you are listening to my voice, this bit of a croaky voice. The Lord is with each and every one of us. But as we pray, as we just gather, as we be still, I believe that the love of God is over your life, that the Spirit of the Lord is with you. Whether you're sitting on the edge of your bed, sitting in your front room, sitting in your chair, laying on the bed, whatever you may be doing, driving, listening, whatever you may be doing right now, you know. When you look at the world and you look at everything that's going on around the world, this is a time when we really need to seek the Father's heart, when we really need to seek the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ is with each and every one of us. He is the great I am. And if you've got a prayer request, please email us to the studio, which is infodailyprayer.uk. And thank you for everybody that listens to us all the way through the week as we push the prayers out at strategic times throughout the day. The Lord is with each and every one of us, but without further ado, let's get straight into prayer. Father, we come before you. And we thank you for Psalms 46, verse 10. The Bible says, be still and know. Father, you are the God of Abraham, Jacob and Ira. Father, we just come to you right now, Lord. And we just pray, Lord, for an outpouring of your spirit. And Lord, we thank you that the love of God is over our lives, that the Spirit of the Lord is with each and every one of us. And as we just gather our thoughts wherever we are now, Lord, we believe in miracles. We believe in the power of God. We believe that Psalms 46, verse 10 is for each and every one of us. Be still and know that I'm God. Whatever you're going through, whatever you are feeling, whatever is happening in your mind, your body, your soul. Let's just focus on the cross of Calvary and on Psalms 46, verse 10. The Bible says, be still and know. We're going to try and take it a little bit easier this evening. On this resurrection Sunday, on this day, as we celebrate that Jesus Christ has risen and we're going to be still and we're going to know that He's gone. As the evening unfolds, as the sun disappears across the world, as the curtains close on this resurrection Sunday, we pray that the love of God and the presence of Jesus will just capture each and every one of us. So Lord, we ask you that you'll help us to be still. Lord, it's really noisy outside. The world is noisy, life is noisy. Work is noisy, the children are noisy, life is just noisy, Lord, and we come to you right now and we say, Jesus, bring stillness to our heart. Lord, bring hope to our heart and our mind right now, wherever we are. Lord, we need to rest in you. Lord, we gotta learn to live by faith. Through the trials, through the worries, through the fears, through the doubts, through the uncertainty, Lord, we come to the cross right now. And as we look at that cross, we say thank you, Jesus, that the grave is empty, that the cross has been fulfilled. Lord, and as we just meditate on the word, because it says in the book of Joshua, do not let this book of the Lord depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night, then you will be successful and prosperous to do whatever you need to do. So, Father, we come to you in the stillness of this prayer time. And we rest on the other side of the world. We rest, dear God, wherever we are. And we say, Holy Spirit, just draw us to the cross. Lord, we look at social media, we listen to the rhythm of the political drive, we listen to what's happening around the world. And Lord, it can be quite scary. So, Lord, in the stillness of this prayer time together, Lord, as we just gather on this Sunday evening, Father, at 26 minutes past nine on this Sunday evening, Lord, from London, we just pray, dear God, that you will take all the fears, all the worries away. But Lord, as the psalmist writes in Psalms 46, verse 10, be still and know that I'm God. I pray that we will be still and we know that you are God. We know that you are, that you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. But the worry and the fear, the panic, the stirring, dear God, Lord, as it's Bank holiday Monday tomorrow, Lord. So Lord, we pray for those that have got another day off, Lord, that they will recharge their batteries, that they, dear God, will find a place to rest for the coming week and the coming year and the days that lie ahead, Lord. Father, as we still hear the sound of war, I pray that we will be still through what the politicians are talking about, Lord, that we won't react, that we will be still and know that you are God in all things, and we will find a place, Lord God, to let our heart rest, our mind rest, our body rest. So Lord, we're praying for peace right now, that we will find that place to be still and know that you are God, the King above all kings, the God above all gods. Lord, we pray, Lord, for those night panics, those tremors for those that don't sleep very well. We pray, dear God, that their sleep will be sweet. We ask you, Father, that their sleep will be sweet, Lord. That they will rest tonight on this beautiful Sunday evening, Lord, as we just reflect over the cross of Calvary, as we look at those candles just gently burning there, Lord. We thank you, Father, that you are the light of the world, Jesus, that you are the great I Am. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom. You're worthy of all praise. And we ask you, Father, for the church family, the brothers, the sisters, whoever they are on the other side of my voice, Lord, I pray that you'll bring peace and hope and love to their house, to their lives, that you will carry each and every one of them right now, Lord. That we will learn to be still, Father, in the noise of the world. That we won't allow this world to make so much noise that it distracts us, that it scares us. So, Lord, through this prayer time, I pray, dear God, that your love will just unfold. Lord, the word of God, Lord, let your word just unfold in our hearts right now. Lord, we're tired and we're weary. Lord, I thank you, Lord, that there is a new day. I thank you, Lord, that the dawn will rise. I thank you, Father, that the sun sets. I thank you, Lord, that the rain falls. Holy Spirit, we pray right now that you will bless every one of us, that we will find a place to rest our heart, Lord. You tell us, dear God, to cast all of our burdens onto you because you care for us in one Peter. So Lord, help us, dear God, to give you everything. Because Lord, there are certain things in our lives that are weighing us down. Worrying about diesel, worrying about petrol, worrying about food, jobs, what's my career like, how long have I got this job for? What's going to happen with the war? Holy Spirit, we pray. That you will carry each and every one of us, that we will cast all of our burdens and our worries and our fears onto you. That we will find a place to rest our hearts. Because Lord, it's scary down here, Lord, on earth. Lord, it's really scary some days, Jesus. Even though we got our faith. Even though, dear God, we bounce around in church and we shout hallelujah. Lord, sometimes it can still get scary, Lord. Sometimes our faith gets stretched and it feels like that elastic band and it's gonna snap. And sometimes it feels it had snapped. So Lord, I ask you, dear God, for those that are worried and scared, worried, panic attacks, fears and doubts. For those that feel really emotional at this moment in time, Lord. Not sure why we're emotional, but Lord, we just feel pretty tearful, scared and worried. Lord, I believe that the Spirit of the Lord is moving over each and every one of us as we gather, as we live our lives, Lord, as we gently move forward in faith. So Lord, as we watch the news, as we listen to the political drive, I pray, Lord, that we won't put everything we've got on number 10 Downing Street, but Lord, that we'll put everything we got to the cross of Calvary. And that we will cast all of our worries, all those areas of our lives, Lord, that we will cast everything we got, Lord, onto Jesus Christ. That we come to you. Lord, that we will not be fearful, that we will not be scared, that we will not be worried, but Lord, that we will rest at the cross, because there's nowhere else to go, Lord, but to the cross. The cross is first, it is fundamental, it is powerful, it is life-changing. And right now, Lord, you tell us through the great book of Isaiah 41 10. So do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Holy Spirit, will you lift us up? For those that are scared right now, for those that are worried right now. Feeling pretty unsettled in their feet. I just pray, dear God, for those that are driving, that have been visiting families, those that are at home laying on the sofa, sitting on the edge of the bed, Lord. Holy Spirit, just bring peace. Father, we just pray for these dark evenings, Lord God, that your light will shine, that the Holy Spirit will break through through the darkness, and you will strengthen us and you will help us. Holy God, that you are righteous God, Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Shalom, the Lion of Judah. Father, we need direction. We need you, dear God, to show us the way. Lord, you tell us that you are the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through thee. So right now we pray that there will be breakthrough. Lord, that we will be still. Lord, the noise of life, Father, in our head. Lord, the sound of the banging drum on the world, Lord, the sound of pots and pans just making a noise in our head. Just that rhythm of what the world, the cry of the world, Lord, the chaotic way of the world. Holy Spirit, I pray that we won't live a life that is chaotic, frantic, crazy. But we will live in freedom in the name of Jesus. And you will bring peace to everyone that is with me online now across the world. Wherever we are gathering on this Sunday evening, we pray for peace. We hold each other up right now. We stand together, we pray together, we walk together, we cry together, we crawl together, Lord, because we're locked into the kingdom of God. And wherever we are across the world, I pray, dear God, that Psalms 46, 10 will be so strong in our lives tonight that we will be still and we will know that you are God, that you are the King above all kings. You are the Lord above all lords. So, Father, as we're on radio right now, bless those that are on radio, those that are traveling right now, listening to the radio, Lord. I pray that you'll bless them, all those that are on visual, that are on camera, Lord, just looking at those candles, just staring, dear God, through the lens. Holy Spirit, as we look at that cross, sitting in the backdrop, everything that that cross represents. So Lord, we thank you for today, Passover Sunday. We thank you, dear God, that the crib is empty, the cross is empty, the grave is empty, and Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding for every one of us. So Lord, when we're tired and we can't pray, we thank you that Jesus Christ prays, that you are the accelerator. When we don't know how to pray, Lord. And I thank you, Lord, that prayer is so easy and so simple. Because Lord, it's just that conversation between myself and God. It's just that simple word, like, God, please. Please, God. If you're there, Lord, Holy Spirit, we call on your name. So, Father, we thank you that prayer isn't complicated. So, right now, Lord, we pray for everyone online that needs a healing. Healing from abuse, healing from the past, healing, dear God, in the mind, the battlefield of the mind, the wasteland, dear God, of the mind, those thoughts, the over-engineering of life, the ifs and the buts and the possiblies and the maybes that never come into being. So, dear God, I pray right now that as we over-engineer our lives, as we overthink, we over-gauge, Holy Spirit, I pray that you will just sweep through our minds right now. Deal with the mental health and the worries and the fears and the panics, Lord, our mind, Father, that wasteland, that place, dear God, that no one sees, the thoughts that just keep racing. Lord, the thoughts that just keep, God, interrupting our day. Those thoughts of panic, those thoughts of if, what about, maybe. Holy Spirit, we pray right now that we will not doubt, that we will just believe. And we come to the cross. And we say, Jesus, we thank you that we're healed. We thank you, Lord, there is healing. We thank you, Father, that you are a God of miracles. You are the Father of Isaac, Jacob, and Abraham. You are the Lord that healeth thee. And as the scripture says, it is by his stripes we are healed. Father, we thank you for healing. We believe in miracles. Lord, we thank you for miracles right now. Lord, there is healing in our body. Hearts are being healed. All those, dear God, that have been affected through relationships, life, that have had their hearts torn. Lord, repair hearts tonight. Repair lives tonight. Those that are going through bereavement, those that have lost family members, loved ones, and friends. We pray, dear God, for those that are going through bereavement and loss and worry and fear. Father, let there be healing in hearts at this hour. Lord, we come to you again and again and again and again, Lord. We just keep coming back, Lord. Like a yo-yo, we just keep coming back, Lord. And we say, Please, Jesus. Please, God, feed our hearts, feed our minds. Lord, you tell us, God tells us, through Jesus Christ, in Matthew 11, 28. Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Do you need rest tonight? We're not going to find it on social media. We're spending hours and hours and hours scrolling, scrolling and scrolling. Father, I pray that we won't, dear God, just scroll through life. But Lord, we'll walk through life. And Lord, that we won't look on the other side of the fence and think it's greener on the other side. And oh woe is me. But Lord, that we'll stand up and we'll live and we'll walk in faith. Holy Spirit, I pray for breakthrough. You call us, you say, Come to me. All of you that are weary, if there's anyone weary tonight, let's get to Jesus. And then we have that conundrum. Jesus, where are you? Holy Spirit, where are you? God, where are you? Everything else is visible, everything else is tangible. Everything else, God, is touchable. But God, I need to see you. Lord, I need to touch the hem of your garment. That beautiful story in the New Testament, where the lady had that issue of blood, and the Bible says that she spent everything she had. She had spent everything on doctors. She had spent everything that she had. There was nothing else left. She was spent out. She was ostracized. She was cast aside by society and culture. She was put out to the hills. But she heard that Jesus was coming into town. And she said, if I can just touch the hem of his garment, if I can just get to that hem of his garment. The hem of the garment is healing. I haven't got to touch him, I haven't got to talk to him. If I can just touch the hem of his garment. And the Bible says when Jesus rolled into town, he was surrounded by the disciples and people. They were pushing him, nudging him. He was pressed up against. But this lady who had faith said, Today is the day when I'm going to touch Jesus Christ. And she couldn't get around Jesus. She couldn't get over him. She wasn't strong enough to actually push through the crowd. But what she decided to do was, I'm going to crawl through the crowd. I'm going to get on my hands and knees. I'm going to touch that hem and the garment. This is the last bit of energy I've got. I've spent every every pound I've got. I've got no one else left. I'm left on my own. I've got no family around me. I've been shunned by culture and society. And there's no one. And I'm not well. Does anybody feel like that? Pushed out by your family, your friends, life, work. And you just think, Lord, what is ever going to happen to my life? But she decided that day. She decided that day. I've got to get to the hem of his garment. But the crowd was strong. The crowd was pushing against Jesus. Jesus was being carried along by the crowd. He was surrounded. Uncountable people was around Jesus. The noise was just crazy. It was so noisy, it was so loud. But then suddenly this lady that was completely spent out. She was spent out in finances and within herself. And she just said, This is it. If this don't work, there's no nothing else for me. So she gets on her hands and knees, she sees Jesus coming. She gets on the floor and she crawls. And she touches the hem of his garment. Not his leg, not his ankle. No physical contact with his body. But Jesus said, Who touched me? See, she touched him with her heart. See, there was a crowd around Jesus. Men just pushing him, knocking him, leading him, taking him away from the woman. It was just noisy. It was impossible. And the disciples said to Jesus, What do you mean someone's touched you? He said, Someone's touched me. And they said, Messiah. There is a crowd around you. What do you mean someone's touched me? And he looked down. He looked down and he see a lady that was at the end of everything. And she just touched the hem of his garment. And he said something that is so profound. Virtue has left me. See, when you touch Jesus with your heart, there's a transaction. The transaction of love, the transaction of healing. And she was determined. She'd spent everything. Money was gone. Family was gone. Life was gone. There was no hope. But if I can just touch the hem of the master's garment. She didn't go to church. She wasn't on the prayer WhatsApp group. She wasn't baptized. She wasn't getting any literature through the door. She wasn't on the prayer group tonight. She just had a heart that said, I'm going to touch Jesus. See, when you come to that point of your life, and so often we have to hit the most rock bottom place of our lives, and suddenly go, I'm going to touch the hem of his garment. And Jesus stopped in his tracks. And the disciples didn't have a clue. What is he going on about? He's surrounded by people. He was being nudged this way, that way. He was being carried along by the volume of the people. But he stopped in his tracks and he said, Someone's touched me. See, there is something so different about when you touch him with your heart. And do you feel like that right now? I've reached the end of everything. I've tried everything. I've worn everything out. Relationships haven't worked. Life hasn't worked. The children are crazy. Work's terrible. Church just isn't doing it. There's got to be more. I've spent every penny. I've got nothing else left. See, there's many ways that you can touch Jesus, but there's only one real way, and that's from within. And when you call out, when you're at the lowest part of your life, and you say, Jesus, please, please, God, help me, Jesus. And he said, Someone's touched me. The power and virtue left him. And the lady leapt up in fear. She was healed. A miracle. See, Jesus is a healer. He's not interested in the religious and the church noise. He's not interested in the TikTok church. He's not interested in the notoriety and the pastor that's naming it and claiming it. He's just waiting for me and you to say, Jesus, please. Please, God, I'm too tired. I can't get to church. Lord, I haven't left the house for a while. I haven't been in church in years. See, you can be sitting at home right now. In your bed, in your chair. Wherever you are, sitting down on your own. And shall we pray this prayer together? Jesus. I feel quite alone at this moment. The tablets are not working. The family don't seem to be bothered. Work is desperate. I'm tired. Lord, I'm always counting the pennies and never seem to have enough. Now, Jesus, I'm worried about the petrol, the diesel, life. Jesus says, Come to me. All of you that are weary and burdened, I will give you rest. But Jesus, I can't get to church. I don't drive, I can't get on the bus. Lord, I can't get to Wheeling. You don't need to get to church. Jesus is with you right now in your bedroom, in your van, in your car. Jesus is with you on the other side of the world. And he hears your heart. And he's saying, It's okay. Everything is okay. Just speak to Jesus. It's that simple. On your own right now, just say, Father, please. Make a way, Lord, where there seems to be no way. Lord, I've got to provide for these children. And I don't know what I'm going to do. Lord, I've got no money left and I don't know what to do. Lord, we've already been paid. And the money's going out the door like a river. Lord, it's just flowing so fast I can't stop it. Lord, it's like a dam that has just burst its banks. Father, the money is going out so quick. Lord, I've got to get some diesel tomorrow. I've got to get some petrol. But this£10 isn't stretching anymore. Holy Spirit, Lord, I need you. Lord, I've not been to church for years. In fact, Jesus, I've not ever, never been to church. I've only been for weddings and funerals. But Lord, now, Lord, I'm in this time of my life. And I feel alone, God. And I need you in my heart, Jesus. Please, God, if you're there, answer me. God hears your cry. The Bible says in the book of Revelation that He wipes every tear. God has you. It's not about getting into the building. It's not about sitting in the church pew. It's about just sitting on your bed. Sitting in the stillness of your house, in the car, the van at the desk. And just saying, Jesus, please. Please, God, if you're there. God, I'm calling to you right now, Lord. I've not been to church, Lord. I've only been for religious settings, Lord, and now I've reached this time in my life. Now I've reached this time, dear God, in the circle of my life. And I'm not too sure about my future. I'm quite scared about everything, Lord. Holy Spirit, will you speak to me tonight, Jesus? Father, will you? Will you draw me to the cross? And the book of Matthew 11, 28 cries out, Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Do you need rest? It's in the arms of Jesus. You've worked all your life. You've fought all your life. You've been putting fires out. You've been carrying people. You're tired, you're weary. Trying to put on a brave face, smiling in every situation. But inside, it's completely different to the outside environment. What the world sees and what the world doesn't know. Behind the mask is pain behind the mask is fear behind the mask of life. Is doubt is uncertainty. But Jesus is saying, You belong to me. I love you. I created you. Everything's okay. And then we reflect on Jeremiah 29, 11. God says this about you. For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future. There's a place for you. And it's known as the kingdom of God. It's not church. It's not this building that we're in. It's not in a cathedral down the road. It's not in a celebrity church in London. Doesn't matter how many people are in the church service. It's whether or not Jesus is in the building. You can have the biggest church filled up with people, packed to the rafters. But is Jesus present? Is Jesus in the house? See, when you look at the crowd, the crowd can distort. So the crowd was around Jesus. And there was just one lady, one woman, one person, one human being against the crowd. See, so often a crowded church is dangerous. Because we lose the rhythm. We lose the rhythm of what we should be doing. And then it becomes a business. And then it becomes an organization. Then it becomes a charity. And then suddenly we've we've gone. With a Bible. Take a little bit of bread and a bit of grape juice. Sit on the curb of life. Sit on a bench in the park. Sit in your car. In your wheelchair, on your bed, wherever you are, and just open the Bible up and just read. Or if you can't read very well, just find it on your phone or on the laptop or on the tablet. And just get a Bible app and just listen to the word of God. Because Jesus loves you. The Father loves you. The Holy Spirit loves you. But church and religion has distorted everything. It has taken everything and manipulated it. It has shifted the goalposts. And Jesus just says, just believe. Just believe in me. Just believe. I don't want you to go to church. Don't worry. Don't worry about church. Just get yourself a Bible and read the greatest book the world has ever seen. Don't worry about joining the choir. Don't keep doing stop jumping about. Be still. See the Bible says in Psalms 46, 10 as we started, be still or know that I'm God. Church is very loud. Religion is noisy. Resurrection Sunday, if you would have caught some of the news channels today. All the bells, all the whistles, religion was out, swinging the incense, wearing the funny at, walking along with a staff, dancing around, making a noise. Jesus isn't worried about that. See he had that on Palm Sunday. They was all going through the motions on Palm Sunday. Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna, waving the palm in the air as he came into Jerusalem on the cult, shouting Hosanna. The crowd was shouting for Jesus. But then suddenly the crowd turned on him. The crowd turned on Jesus. The same crowd was shouting out, give us Brabbas. We want Brabas. Oh my goodness. See the crowd will turn very quickly. The crowd just goes with emotions. The crowd just goes with the rhythm. You've got to be careful of the crowd. If you take a music event, if you take a football event, if you take a sporting event, it's very interesting. Wherever we are, we follow the crowd and we react to what the crowd is doing. Be careful what we do. Don't follow the crowd. Be the individual like the lady that touched the edge of his garment. She wasn't in the crowd. But her heart was for Jesus. See, churches are crowded. Religion is crowded. Packing churches out with just numbers and numbers and numbers of people. For what purpose? Where is the biblical interpretation to that? Jesus just says something very profound. He says, where two or three are gathered. Just two or three. Do this in remembrance of me. He didn't say when a hundred and two hundred and when you reach a thousand in the congregation, that's what I want. Jesus just said, where two or three are. You're at home. There's just two of you. If you're on your own, do you want to break bread with me right now? Because we don't need a crowd. See, religion is all about the crowd. The more people in the building, the more Jesus is in the building. That's a lie from hell. We've got to be careful with the amount of people in the church because then suddenly it becomes a business, it becomes an operation. So you're better off than you just go and sit in your transit van, sit in the back, sit on a couple of bricks, sit in a field, sit in your car. Just find that quiet space. The Bible says something very, very interesting about prayer. When you pray, go into the secret place, close the door, and don't let the world know what you're doing. So my interpretation is when you go and pray, get in the back of the transit van, shut the door, sitting there on your own with the Bible, a cup of coffee or a cup of tea, and just say, Jesus, I'm in the van of life. I'm in this van right now, Lord. And it's just me. These four tires, this steering wheel. And Lord, I'm just sitting in this van. And Lord God, I want you to change my life. See, wherever you are, it's not about the crowd. It's about the heart. See, the crowd is irrelevant. You take a football arena, you take a stadium, a sporting event, a festival. It's very interesting, isn't it? Last year at Glastonbury, I believe, that obnoxious man, what he started chanting, and the crowd started chanting the same thing. That terrible thing. And suddenly the whole crowd was chanting something evil, dark. See, when you're with a crowd, I better go along with a crowd because I don't want to be seen to be odd. It's very important that we make sure that we don't follow the crowd. That you be that individual. You be that individual, you be strong. Be careful of the mass amount of people. Be careful. Because we lose ourselves in the crowd. We become just a number. We become just a number in the crowd. You're an individual. And God has named you. And God loves you. Wherever you are right now. The Bible says, don't conform to the pattern of the world. Very interesting. Don't conform to the pattern of the world. But have your mind transformed. Do not conform to the pattern of the world. Don't conform to the sporting arena. Don't conform to the vast numbers on social media. Don't conform to the pattern of religion. Be careful. Because the crowd will crush your identity. And we will lose who we are. But there was a lady that said, I've got to touch the hem of his garment. I've got to get to Jesus. I've got to get to the King. I've got to get to Jesus. My life has got to turn around. Because I'm going out every weekend. I'm going out with a crowd of people. With a work crowd, the social crowd. I'm going out with a crowd. I'm going to the same pub, the same club. I'm going to the same place. But it's not really me. But I'm going because everybody else goes. See, I'll just go, yeah, I'll go because you're all going, I'll go. And we get there and it's noisy. And we say to ourselves, what am I doing here? What am I doing here? And the wine flows, the beer flows, the music is loud, the lights drop, and it suddenly turns into something not good. Don't conform to the pattern of the crowd. Don't conform to the pattern of the festival. Be careful what crowd you're in. The circles you walk in, the people that you connect to. Some people are so strong they will influence you without you realizing your life has been changed and you've lost yourself. I've lost myself, but I can't mention it to anybody because I've just got to conform to the pattern of the world. But that individual, that lady went, Jesus, this is the day. This is the hour where I'm gonna get to the king. And I'm gonna be different. I'm gonna be different. See, when you're different, that is really powerful. And it's not about being arrogant, it's not about being loud and noisy because she was as quiet as a church mouse. It's how you touch Jesus. Religion is all external, church is external. Church is noisy, ministry is noisy, religion is noisy. You just look on the news today and watch the Church of England bouncing around like puppets, the bishops being moved like puppets, moving to the sound of religion, going through the motions, but you look at their faces, they're empty. There's no one in. And the stillness of religion. But Jesus Christ is calling you. He loves you. He's saying, Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. We're gonna break bread right now. And we're gonna take at a cup. Please take this with me right now. Quickly leg it to the kitchen. Grab a bit of bread. Grab a bit of riben or something. It's just me and you. Me and you. And uncountable people across the world. Thank God for the power of technology. Thank God for the power of communication. Thank God for the Wi-Fi. Thank God for the cameras and the greatness of technology. Because we're connected. We're connected right now. So yeah, you might be on your own, in your house, in your life, but God's with us both. I can't see you, but you can hear my voice. And Jesus Christ is in your life. And we're gonna break bread. And I would encourage you not to go to church. I would encourage you to get yourself a Bible. And take time out. If you're at church, if you if you belong to a church, take time out of church. And that time that you would spend going to church, go across to a field, get in the back of your van, park up in Asda, park up somewhere, sit on a bench, find somewhere really quiet, and spend the time that you're in church. Spend that time with God. Take yourself a little bit of bread, take yourself a little bit of grape juice. Grab a Bible. Go and sit in the park. Get away from the crowd of people. Sit somewhere where it's really quiet. And just sit there and just say, Father, I love you. And Lord, I spent my life in church and it's been busy. For many, many years I've been institutionalized by the world of church. It's an unusual feeling. The rhythm of the institution, the mechanism of religion. It's dangerous. Many leaders lose their way. We can lose our way. We get caught in business, we get caught in GDPR, we get caught in policies, we get caught in insurance, we get caught in ad. So if you are a leader right now, tell your church I'm gonna check out for a couple of services. If you sit in a congregation, just tell the leaders I'm gonna check out for a while. I'm gonna go and sit in a field. I'm just gonna be quiet and be before God. I'm gonna do what the book of Psalms says in Psalm 46, 10. Be still and know that I'm God. I'm just gonna take some time out. I'm not saying this is for everybody, but for those that just feel really pressurized and just feel lost within themselves. Just take that time out and just say, Jesus, I want to be still and I want to know that you're God. Come on, let's break bread, Father. We come to the Passover table. And Lord, again, we have lost this through religion. Father, we have lost this through religion. And now, right now, Lord, we come to you in the presence of the King. And we say, Holy Spirit, I want to feel your presence in my life. Holy Spirit, I want to walk different. I don't want to walk the same way. Father, I just want to feel peace. I want to find peace. Lord, I've been at church today, and Lord, it's been noisy, and Pastor Ben has been barking on like a Jack Russell, barking and barking, making noise. Lord, I'm tired, Lord, I've been at work all week. Work has got me down. Lord, life family, Lord is heavy going. Lord, I want peace. Jesus is calling. Jesus is calling from Matthew 11, 28. Come to me. All of you that are weary and burdened, I will give you rest. Because it's not in the crowd. Stop travelling up to London and going to the biggest churches in the UK. Get on the train and go the opposite direction. Drive out of London. Go and sit in a field. Take a cup of Chino with you. A croissant. Or a bacon burger, whatever you got. And just say, Jesus, I want peace. I want peace today. I want to find myself again. I've lost myself in society. I've lost myself in church. I've lost myself in family and friends. Lord, I've been people pleasing so many years, Jesus. I've been pleasing everybody. But I feel empty. I feel scared and lonely. Lord, I want to feel happy again. I want to smile, Lord. Lord, I want to feel the freshness of rain falling on my face. Lord, I want to feel the sunrise on me again, Lord. I want to smile within Jesus. But Lord, I've forgotten what it feels like to smile. I've forgotten what it's like to be happy. Jesus is saying, Come to me. Come to me, all of you that are weary. I will give you hope, because there's always hope. I will give you peace because there's always peace. Jesus, I thank you for this bread. I thank you for this cup that symbolizes the body and the blood of Jesus. And Lord, I thank you that we're not in church right now. Thank you, Lord, that it's Sunday evening. And I thank you, Lord, that it's quite late actually. It is nine minutes past ten. I'm sitting on my bed now, Lord. I'm sitting on my sofa. I'm just indoors. And I thank God I ain't got to be in church because it's boring. I'm tired of the bishop. I'm tired of Pastor Ben. I'm tired of the noise. But Lord, I'm at home now. And I'm just gonna break bread. And we're gonna sit here, Lord, and just take a moment and just say thank you, Jesus, for salvation. Thank you, Lord, that I'm saved. I love you, Jesus. I thank you, God. I thank you for everything. I thank you for everything, Lord. But right now, Lord, as I hold this bread and I break this bread and I just say, Jesus, I thank you for Resurrection Sunday. I thank you, Jesus, that you saved us. That we're in, we're in the vine, we're grafted in. And the Bible says in Romans 8, nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. You can never be separated from the Father's heart. That's biblical fact. That's science, that's mathematics, that's the word of God. You're grafted in. You're grafted into the Father's heart. That is so powerful, that is outside of church and religion. You're grafted in. You're woven into the tapestry of the kingdom of God. You're woven into the Father's heart. And he loves you right now. And he's calling you again. Come to me. So, Father, bless this bread. I know, Lord, that this bread is just bread. I know it's not going to do anything, it's not going to change. It's always going to be bread, but what it symbolizes is your body. So Lord, I recognize that this bread is your body. And I say thank you, Jesus. And right now, Lord, just bring peace to my heart. I'm tired and weary, Jesus. We're exhausted. We got a lot of fatigue, Lord. And we need peace and freedom and hope. And Jesus says, Yeah. Just like that lady that touched the hem of his garment. She just said, This is the day. This is it. I've spent everything. I've spent everything I've got. I've got nothing else left. I've got no ISES. I've got no post office savings. I've got no friends. I've got no family. Everyone's pushed me out the window. Push me aside. No one don't care. No one don't love me. So this is everything. I'm down beyond down. I've got to get to Jesus. Jesus is calling you. And he loves you. The Father loves you. That is fact. I guarantee my life. I tell you this. That word is true. The gospel is true. From Genesis to Revelation, it's real. Churches, weak and woke. But the kingdom of God is real. And God is real. And Jesus is real. And the Holy Spirit is real. And He's calling you now. You're not listening to my voice just by chance. You're here because of divine appointment. You're here for a reason. And the reason is that God loves you. God loves you. God loves you. So, Father, I thank you for that bread. And now we take of this cup, Lord. At 13 minutes past 10. Holy Spirit, cleanse us by the blood. Carry us through this night. And Lord, we want to touch the hem of thy garment. And we want to stay at the garment, Lord. And Lord, we just want to stay in that place of complete peace. So, Father, I thank you that we're healed. I thank you, dear God, that there is a way forward. And his name is Jesus. He's found in the Word of God. He's found at the end of the road. When everyone else, your Facebook friends, your TikTok buddies, your WhatsApp group friends. Who's there for you when the rubber hits the road? Who's there for you when you put a cry out on Facebook? Everyone loves you when you got a few quin in your pocket. Everyone loves you when there's fame going on. Everyone wants to be your best friend. But when you ain't got a pound, and you ain't got a car, who's there for you? Let me tell you, Jesus is. You suddenly realize who's for you and who's against you. The rubber people, I call them the plastic people. Plastic, there's too many plastic people. And we've got to find the father's heart. And God is calling you. We're going to duck out of this. The 50p is about to explode. The electric. We're nicking the electric from next door. So we've got to be careful. We've got an extension need running over the fence. I think we might even have a magnet on the electric wheel. We've got to save a few quid. Wherever you are across the world. Jesus Christ is with us. Doesn't matter how hard, how difficult it gets. Jesus is the way. He's the truth. He is the life. He's your healer. He's your Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nisi, Jehovah Shalom. Let's get out of here. Let's pray. Father, in the name of Jesus. We thank you for this prayer time together tonight. And Lord, as we disappear in a puff of smoke, I pray, dear God, that you'll touch hearts and minds in the name of Jesus. That you will give us stability and strength. Lord, that your love and your mercy and your saving grace will be over our lives. Lord, that you'll keep every one of us strong in the name of Jesus. And your mercy and your grace, Father, will just rest over our hearts. So Lord, everybody online, everybody on radio, I pray that wherever you are, that you will feel the love of Jesus, his magnitude, his strength, his mercy. God is with you. You are not alone. God bless. If you've got a prayer request, please hit us up in the studio, which is infodailybrayer.uk. Wherever you are at this hour, don't ever give up or catch yourself. God bless.
